So I bought one (Low C, Chieftain) but my problem now is learning to play it!! By the way, the reason thatīought a C rather than the usual D is that I play regularly with a traditional New Orleans style jazz group where the front line are all playing Bb instruments, so D is very difficult. I am a professional clarinet player but I have just been in Ireland and loved the sound of the low whistle. My Email: of your low whistle: Chieftain C Is there anyone in the Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada) area who plays and could teach low whistle? My Email: of your low whistle: Chieftain low C what kind of instrument is this? Is it a whis In the first track,Reel around the sun,on the Riverdance cd ( Music from the show,Celtic Heartbeat production), in the first and last part, named Corona and Reel around the sun, someone is playing a long solo. Yesterday I posted my order form for a Howard Low D, but getting a Low Whistle should be easier for people from Holland like me! Does anyone know a regular shop in Holland where I can buy tin and low whistles? (near or in Utrecht?) My Email: of your low whistle: Howard (just ordered)

I'm going to try flute as well, soon I hope. The faster tunes are more difficult on such a big whistle, so I save th I use it especially for the slower tunes, some of which don't sound really well on a tin whistle. I've been playing my low whistle for a month now, and it's not really hard, actually. Someday I hope my whistles will enter into the 'upper class' of My URL above will be published and viewable by Thurday, Dec. I hope to be able to be part of it someday. VERY clean and easy on the eyes, and easy to navigate. The music almost sounds too perfect (and without breathing) to be a wind instrument. I just saw (for the first time) the Riverdance video, as well as the sequel, wow! Do you know if Blatley really played the flute on the sequel? Also do you know if the whistle parts in some of the dances is really a whistle or a keyboard.

I currently play the high whistle (for about a year) and just picked up a G flute, and am interested in expanding to other wind instruments.

My question is, what is a "sell-through system"? I too am interested in playing the low whistle as well as at some time in the future learning the uilleann pipes. I have a question in regard to your review for "A Place Among the Stones." In your first paragraph you mentioned that Davy Spillane plays an Overton whistle and operates a sell-through system for them, and that you bought one from him. My Email: of your low whistle: still looking Whistling Low Guestbook Many thanks to these past visitors of Whistling Low.
